| Montana is a great place to fly, but it demands respect. Paragon has maintained its enviable safety record by thoroughly preparing new customers before approving aircraft rentals.
--Clients love it because it minimizes learning the area and equipment through trial and error. --Owners love it because they know Paragon customers have the highest of safety standards and will not abuse their leased aircraft. --Insurance companies love it because our rental pilots are better prepared to act as critically-thinking pilots who are truly in command of their aircraft and passengers. The better prepared you are, the more efficient the checkout. Remember that you will be expected to fly to the Practical Test Standards appropriate to the highest certificate you hold. Generally, for a pilot who is current in the aircraft, familiar with Gallatin Field and has completed all material, allow yourself three (3) hours: Ground: Photocopy credentials, review completed documents, aircraft logbooks, squawks, and company procedures (scheduling, fueling, etc.). (0.6 hrs) Flight: (0.8 to 1.5 hrs, depending on pilot) Postflight: Securing aircraft, questions, flight records, logbook, payment. (0.5) FIRST-TIME CUSTOMERS complete all documents - Pilot File, Rental Agreement, and Checkout Quiz Parts A, B, and C. PARAGON CUSTOMERS who have previously completed a company checkout need only complete Part C for this aircraft. Complete another Pilot File if changes since last checkout. |
